Beginning with the Fall 2008 term, background checks for GSU’s professional education unit programs will be done by Certified Background.com. Certified Background performs its background checks without the use of fingerprints. Candidates can initiate their background checks online at http://certifiedbackground.com. Click on the “Students” button. Use the the package code “go03″. The cost of the background check process will be $39, payable by debit or credit card, or money order. There will be additional charges of $13 each for any candidate residencies in counties outside the state of Illinois in the last seven years.
